AI Specialist / Machine Learning Engineer

What you’ll do

Model Development: Own the design, training, and deployment of machine learning models that power core product experiences. From recommendation engines to natural language processing — you’ll build systems that make a real impact.

Data Strategy: Partner with data engineering to ensure clean, reliable datasets are available for model training and evaluation. Identify key metrics, define success criteria, and drive performance improvements across models.

AI Infrastructure: Help scale and optimise our ML pipelines and tooling — ensuring model experimentation, versioning, and deployment are seamless and efficient.

Applied Research: Stay on top of the latest AI research and trends. Test new techniques, evaluate their potential, and bring promising ideas into production.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI features into the product. Translate complex technical ideas into clear business value.

What you’ll bring

• A few years of experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI — ideally in a fast-paced or product-focused environment.

• Strong fundamentals in statistics, data structures, and algorithms, with hands-on experience in model development using tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.

• Proficiency in Python, along with exposure to data pipeline tools and MLOps frameworks.

• An analytical mindset and a passion for turning raw data into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication skills — able to bridge the gap between technical depth and business strategy.

• Bonus if you have experience with LLMs, generative AI, or productionising deep learning models.
